Hello, My Name is David & I will be your Captain
I was born in Argentina and learned to sail at the age of 17 in the cold and brackish waters of the River Plate, the river that borders Buenos Aires.
I have been a sailing enthusiast ever since. In love with the beauty and aesthetics of sailing I have never really stopped sailing or lost the giddy enthusiasm for it. In 2001, I purchased a 24 foot sailboat which I have used on countless adventures and still own and enjoy with my family to this day. I’m married to a wonderful woman and have three amazing kids.
In 2008 Istarted working with the public as sailboat captain for Shake A Leg Miami. In 2011 I joined Sail Laser Miami and worked as the summer camp coordinator teaching hundreds of kids the basics of sailing until the closing of Sail Laser in 2013.
In 2014 while working as a math and science teacher for MCA Academy in the Grove I started a Friday Sailing Club which is still active today.
In 2018 I started working for Coconut Sailing Club as their STEM program director exploring the science of sailing with middle school kids. I also started hosting a sailing adventure in Biscayne Bay for adults and tourists offering a unique perspective of Miami’s greatest jewel Biscayne Bay.
